For non-color clients, the Botanical Repair Professional Bond Activator (in light and rich formulas) ignites hydrogen bond-building for strength and protection, instantly detangling hair to prevent breakage and improve smoothness and softness of damaged hair. With a suggested retail price of $25 for a Botanical Repair Treatment or Color Treatment, salons have the opportunity to create a new revenue stream.

Aveda did the research and discovered if half your color guests receive a Color Treatment (in a salon open six days per week, 49 weeks per year with eight colorists doing seven color services per day), there is the opportunity to earn an additional $206,000 annually.

For your non-color service guests, if 35 percent get a Botanical Repair Treatment (assuming the same size salon), the opportunity is an additional $144,000 annually.

“I have successfully enlightened my hair from a level 2 to platinum,” says Suyen Ramos, general manager at Vanity Salons. I have NEVER been successful with this in the past. My hair is so strong and had no breakage—it’s still very shiny and soft!”

In its research, Aveda found damage repair is the number-one benefit consumers seek. So Aveda chemists searched the globe for the best hair reparative technology to use in the Botanical Repair products.

“Consumers are unwilling to stop damaging behaviors on their hair, so we needed to give them a solution to healthy hair,” says Becky Murphy, executive director, haircare.

The plant-powered, three-layer repair technology multiplies bonds in the inner cortex, strengthening and repairing hair from within.

The outer fatty layer of hair, known as the F layer keeps hair shiny and smooth, but most people don’t even have it due to damage.

The Masques are the hero products in this lineup and come in light and rich formulas. The rich formula has 50 percent more oils and butters for higher viscosity, but both formulas have the same amount of hair reparative qualities.
